Speaker 4 00:04:43 Pseudoscience
Speaker 3 00:04:44 Driven by people with no insurance. So what's the point?
Speaker 0 00:04:47 I mean, I have insurance. They'll cover it. It just sucks. But, um, it could have been worse. Could have been dead.

Speaker 0 00:06:04 Haja. Haja.
Speaker 8 00:06:06 It's awesome. East Texas. And
Speaker 4 00:06:09 It's good. Talk hot
Speaker 8 00:06:10 Already. Yeah,
Speaker 4 00:06:12 Very descriptive. It's like I was there.
Speaker 8 00:06:14 I know.
Speaker 3 00:06:16 So you're in Texas and it's hot.
Speaker 8 00:06:18 It's warm. It's a lot of trees and bugs.
Speaker 4 00:06:22 Big big bugs.
Speaker 8 00:06:23 Big
Speaker 4 00:06:24 Bugs. Is it moist?
Speaker 3 00:06:25 Wait, what? What?
Speaker 8 00:06:27 Oh, it is dry. Okay. Dry. Dry.
Speaker 3 00:06:29 <laugh>. You guys need to remember, Danny's got his little lady friend in the studio. So let's,
Speaker 0 00:06:33 It's it's dry. Danny said that.
Speaker 3 00:06:36 Oh, did he? Yeah.
Speaker 0 00:06:37 We,
Speaker 3 00:06:38 Oh, my head was current, so I didn't see you.
Speaker 0 00:06:40 Danny, Danny. You have your little lady in this studio.
Speaker 4 00:06:43 That was Mondo
Speaker 0 00:06:45 <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:06:46 It was not.
Speaker 3 00:06:47 Oh my goodness. The studio now smells like moon shine kind of. All right. Which is did I hope everyone did their homework. Which, which we are actually gonna be talking to a real life witch. A real witch.
Speaker 4 00:07:05 Wow.
Speaker 0 00:07:06 <laugh> Dan. Danny's
Speaker 4 00:07:08 Two pissed in it here.
Speaker 3 00:07:10 Can we sound a little bit more impressed than that? We're gonna be talking to an actual witch. Oh wow.
Speaker 4 00:07:15 That's
Speaker 3 00:07:16 Witch. Awesome. I don't know if I ever,
Speaker 0 00:07:18 Wow. That. Can't wait to hear from her. That's gonna be so awesome. Is it a headset? I think it's gonna be great.
Speaker 3 00:07:25 Stop. Just stop. Which,
Speaker 4 00:07:27 Which are we speaking with?
Speaker 3 00:07:28 Uh, Terry is the witch that we are gonna be speaking with, and she is an tic witch. I don't know if you know the difference, but there's like all different sorts of witches. Eclectic, tic. Oh, electric.
Speaker 4 00:07:41 She was voted in
Speaker 0 00:07:42 It's tic, which
Speaker 3 00:07:45 I wonder if she does the tic slide <laugh>. We'll have to ask her about that.
Speaker 4 00:07:49 What does that word mean?
Speaker 3 00:07:51 Tic? I believe if I heard her correctly during my pre-interview, is she practices on her own. Not with anybody else. Not in a group of cove, of, of witches. But she, she practices by herself. So
Speaker 4 00:08:05 Just like a Ronan in witch.
Speaker 3 00:08:06 I I thought it was eclectic, but then I later thought it must be tic. But we'll try, we'll try to get confirmation of that. We're also gonna be speaking with, uh, Jonathan from the, uh, Louisiana Wildland Association regarding the upcoming Rug Guru Fest, which we will be attending. Oh. And in Houma, Louisiana. Hey
Speaker 0 00:08:29 Scott. Did you see uh, Jesse's text?
Speaker 3 00:08:32 I did not see Jesse's text. Did you send a text? Yeah.
Speaker 0 00:08:35 Um, he said that the Nutra chili's gonna be removed. What
Speaker 3 00:08:41 Do I
Speaker 4 00:08:41 Have to remind
Speaker 3 00:08:42 You? You, that was the only reason I'm going all the way to
Speaker 0 00:08:45 We're gonna to, we're gonna to talk to John Jesse
Speaker 3 00:08:48 Jesse's
Speaker 4 00:08:49 Here. Why? Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:08:50 Is that true? I
Speaker 8 00:08:51 Don't, I looked at their on webpage. Right. And there is no nutrient chili.
Speaker 3 00:08:58 Oh my God. Shut. I knock on door. I'm
Speaker 4 00:09:00 Not going. Is there chili?
Speaker 8 00:09:01 There's chili, but not
Speaker 3 00:09:04 Nutrient chili. Well, you know what, we have Jonathan, uh, that's gonna be a guest. So we will ask him directly. He is the like, organizer of this thing. Yeah. So if there's no, there's gonna be some problems.
Speaker 0 00:09:15 I knew I, that's why I brought it up. Scott, I knew was gonna
Speaker 4 00:09:18 Be a big
Speaker 3 00:09:18 Major. I'm gonna have to have a talk with him about that. I'm gonna have to pick a bone. Pick a bone. Maybe
Speaker 8 00:09:24 They just should put nutrient.
Speaker 3 00:09:25 That's what,
Speaker 4 00:09:27 That was kind of the whole purpose. Pick a
Speaker 0 00:09:29 Bone, know.
Speaker 3 00:09:29 No. Yeah, exactly. No
Speaker 0 00:09:31 A bone to with
Speaker 3 00:09:32 Speaking of bones to pick. I'm gonna go back. I'm gonna go back like a year. So. Oh gosh. Danny. Remember that? Why
Speaker 4 00:09:40 Is it always me?
Speaker 3 00:09:41 Danny, I'm not picking the bone with you. I just, I'm, I need you to help with my memory. <laugh>. So do you remember that company that came out that was doing all these really cool, um, ghost hunting gear stuff And we looked at it and we were like, Oh my god, these guys are awesome.
Speaker 4 00:09:57 Yes, yes, yes. I
Speaker 3 00:09:58 Can't remember. Ologies
Speaker 4 00:09:59 Para.
Speaker 3 00:09:59 Yes. Okay. So I don't wanna say the name Para, but we ordered stuff from me to Para.
Speaker 4 00:10:04 Did you just get it
Speaker 3 00:10:06 <laugh>? I have not gotten it. <laugh>. And we spent some NW CS funds on it and I had to explain that to the NW CS committee. Like every four months. The board,
Speaker 4 00:10:16 The board.
Speaker 3 00:10:17 The board board
Speaker 4 00:10:18 Director. Cuz we're that sophisticated.
Speaker 3 00:10:20 I haven't gotten it. Are
Speaker 0 00:10:21 You guys the board
Speaker 3 00:10:22 Or how does that work? No, there's a, the board's
Speaker 0 00:10:24 Right here's it goes way The board's. The board's. Right. Here's the
Speaker 3 00:10:28 Mother board. It's way over our head. There's people that, you know, tell us what
Speaker 0 00:10:32 To do. Investors. I think it's the investors in our advertisers and
Speaker 3 00:10:36 All that. Yeah. Kind of a shadow government thing. <laugh>. Um, but yeah, I still haven't gotten it. That's, I spent N Cs funds and now they're gonna think I like embezzled
Speaker 4 00:10:45 <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:10:46 And they're
Speaker 4 00:10:47 Gonna order the code. Red Scott.
Speaker 3 00:10:48 So anyway, you
Speaker 0 00:10:49 Got clear of
Speaker 3 00:10:49 Those charges. Para where is our, Everyone's like, Oh, ology super cool. Where's our stuff?
Speaker 4 00:10:56 Where's,
Speaker 3 00:10:56 Where is it? Where's our
Speaker 4 00:10:57 Stuff? Do they answer any phone calls or emails? What did we
Speaker 3 00:11:00 Order? Uh, we ordered the, you know, it's been so long. I don't even know.
Speaker 4 00:11:04 Wow.
Speaker 3 00:11:05 No, it was the, What
Speaker 4 00:11:08 Was the, was that a camera? I thought for something. I thought there was another camera.
Speaker 3 00:11:11 It was,
Speaker 4 00:11:11 That was maybe Amazon. I don't
Speaker 3 00:11:13 Even remember. I'll have to look it up. Wow. Maybe if we have a break, I'll look it up and we can give them a call.
Speaker 4 00:11:18 Oh yeah. Where's their office at?
Speaker 3 00:11:21 Um, you know, I
Speaker 0 00:11:22 Don't believe <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:11:23 I think it's in Nigeria. Oh,
Speaker 4 00:11:25 Okay. Well, conveniently, yeah. At
Speaker 3 00:11:27 Least that's where the phone number that I called was.
Speaker 4 00:11:29 I'm 67% Nigerian, so, um, I'll call my cousin. Let
Speaker 3 00:11:33 See, Jesse's 60% Nigerian. Oh no, he's 60% bully. You know, actually, I actually really enjoy Jesse being there because I, I can talk hell of crap about Jesse. You have have a safe space. Twist my nipple.
Speaker 4 00:11:46 <laugh>
Speaker 8 00:11:48 Can't see you in a
Speaker 3 00:11:49 Month though. So what's up there Sack?
Speaker 0 00:11:50 Yeah. Hey Jessie, we'll have a just say, say nipple and I'll do it.
Speaker 8 00:11:56 Nipple keyword
Speaker 4 00:11:57 Nipple.
Speaker 0 00:11:58 Rob <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:12:02 Oh,
Speaker 3 00:12:02 Hey. We can go at the Rugo Fest if that's what you want to do.
Speaker 4 00:12:05 Oh, just record. Okay. Just record it. That's so you are showing
Speaker 3 00:12:09 Out. So I'm really curious when we talk to Jonathan and I'm gonna, I'm not, Might show up. I'm, I'm not. Might show up. Well, you know, it wouldn't be a big loss if you didn't. So I
Speaker 8 00:12:18 Haven't got the address yet.
Speaker 4 00:12:19 So
Speaker 3 00:12:20 It's home in Louisiana. There's
Speaker 4 00:12:22 Like two buildings there. <laugh>, H
Speaker 3 00:12:24 O U M A Go to hoa. I'm pretty sure you're gonna be able to find it. Yeah,
Speaker 4 00:12:27 Just look for the,
Speaker 3 00:12:28 They'll probably be a sign that says Ruger Roof Fest this
Speaker 4 00:12:30 Way. It's the one with all the new, I
Speaker 3 00:12:32 Don't even know. I don't even have an address. But when we talk to Jonathan, I'm not gonna say anything like, I'm not gonna like lead into it. But I'm really interested to see if he's gonna say that they're gonna roll out the red carpet for us like they did last year. Yeah. Or they offered anyway. Cuz I really want to know that experience of
Speaker 4 00:12:48 Vip, they red
Speaker 3 00:12:50 Carpet experience. Do
Speaker 4 00:12:51 They actually have a red carpet? Uh,
Speaker 3 00:12:52 They might bring one for us. That's kind of what I envisioned. Like we would pull up and they'd,
Speaker 0 00:12:57 Are we gonna run a
Speaker 4 00:12:58 Limo? We should, we should ask if there's been any other groups that have come through that festival similar to ours.
Speaker 0 00:13:05 I bet not.
Speaker 4 00:13:06 If not, we can kind of look the
Speaker 3 00:13:07 Door handle. I mean, not us for sure.
Speaker 4 00:13:09 <laugh>. Yeah, that's true. That's the thing.
Speaker 3 00:13:11 Cause we're kind of a big thing in Topo.

Speaker 0 00:13:45 <laugh>. Yeah. That's, um, Yeah. Who drinks that early? <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:13:47 Typically bars aren't, are, are closed at nine in the morning, so I'm not surprised by that. Yeah,

Speaker 3 00:13:53 Well, we're gonna have to call, we're gonna have to call, Well not Topo. I think Topo they open at like 7:00 AM normally

Speaker 3 00:15:32 What is the name again? One more
Speaker 9 00:15:34 Time? I a Scott Aguilar.
Speaker 3 00:15:36 Why do you have to say it like that? Iver Ivan
Speaker 0 00:15:39 Is, is it Scott after Scott?
Speaker 4 00:15:41 A r uh, no,
Speaker 0 00:15:43 You didn't name named Scott.
Speaker 3 00:15:46 I was feeling all like pride for a moment. It can be. It can, it wasn't named after me. Well, now you can't just say no, no, it can be
Speaker 0 00:15:55 <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:15:56 Too late. Like, I, I had a moment of like, Oh, I'm gonna be this kid's godfather. <laugh> gonna give it cigars at six. Not much, you
Speaker 9 00:16:04 Know. You're kidding. He's gonna be smoking outta the womb.
Speaker 0 00:16:06 Yeah. Super happy for you brother.
Speaker 9 00:16:08 Thanks brother. Thank you.
Speaker 4 00:16:09 Okay, so just to clarify, Fya is the goddess of love, warfare, sex, fertility, death, beauty, magic and witchcraft.
Speaker 9 00:16:18 But a goddess no less.
Speaker 4 00:16:20 Well, we were both right. <laugh>, but a witch. But a witch.
Speaker 9 00:16:24 No, she is a goddess.
Speaker 3 00:16:26 We were falling so far off the track. This is, this can be one of those episodes that we gotta keep like redirecting, redirect. Well,
Speaker 9 00:16:33 I don't know because
Speaker 4 00:16:34 Focus,
Speaker 3 00:16:35 Which focus? Yeah.
Speaker 9 00:16:36 Oh, sorry.
Speaker 4 00:16:38 Internet. We're gonna get Jonathan
Speaker 3 00:16:39 On the Yeah, we're gonna thank you. Tab. We're gonna get Jonathan on the line from the Rug Guru Fest, who is the director of the Louisiana Wetlands Association.
Speaker 8 00:16:49 I, I know Rob. I
Speaker 3 00:16:51 So, so Jonathan apparently is taking care of a baby. He said, Call me in just a minute. This is what you had to look forward to. Mondo <laugh>. But let's just take a moment while we have this, uh, little break here. We can edit this out, but let's just talk about our feelings.
Speaker 0 00:17:08 Oh,
Speaker 3 00:17:09 We're gonna get
Speaker 0 00:17:09 Deep. I'll tell you, tell you go. I, I feel that. Go ahead
Speaker 4 00:17:13 Robert. She said, Oh wait. Rob
Speaker 8 00:17:16 Nipple.
Speaker 3 00:17:19 You can't do that, Jesse. Thank
Speaker 4 00:17:21 You, sir. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 0 00:17:23 My
Speaker 3 00:17:23 Feelings. I can't wait until the oo festival. Scott, I can't wait.
Speaker 4 00:17:27 You
Speaker 0 00:17:28 Ringing. He's calling me.
Speaker 3 00:17:29 Hey, Jonathan. Hey Jonathan, it's Scott. How are you?
Speaker 8 00:17:33 I'm doing
Speaker 3 00:17:33 Well. Good, good. Why don't we go ahead and jump on into it. So we are slated to be at the Ruger Fest this year. We're looking forward to it. We tried to. We
Speaker 0 00:17:42 Tried.
Speaker 3 00:17:42 Yes. We tried to make it last year, but it got, uh, weather and all kinds of stuff, uh, canceled it last year. That was disappointing. But that's, um, I'm glad everyone survived and was well, and I know it was a difficult time last year, so we're looking forward to coming this year. Is there anything that you can, uh, let us know about the, uh, Ruger Fest this year?
Speaker 10 00:18:02 Yeah, so we're really excited to have it at a new location, which is going to allow us to have a little bit of a larger footprint. We have space now for RVs. So there's a lot of folks are coming with their campers and they'll be able to, to park there and there's, uh, electrical and water hookups, so that way they can spend the entire weekend with us. That's awesome. Um, we've got live music, some wonderful bands from Southern Louisiana Guide, the all, all of the great things that we've always had. Costume contest. We've got the K Guru parade. One of the things that we're adding this year is the narrative stage. And so on that stage we have different cultural traditions and tradition bears there to explain those types of things like using medicinal plants or, um, even, even our, our oral traditions in folklore, like talking about stories of the Rug Gru and the Lieutenant and the fil A. So there's all those fun characters that Nice. You know, it's, it's fun for locals to hear those stories that we've heard as children growing up, but it's especially fun for tourists to come in and and hear about those parts of our culture,
Speaker 3 00:19:10 You know? Absolutely. That's awesome.
Speaker 10 00:19:11 The, the, the food is the, I mean that's, that's a big draw for
Speaker 3 00:19:17 Yeah. The, the food. Speaking of food,
Speaker 4 00:19:20 That's a hot button right here. We,
Speaker 0 00:19:21 We got a hot button right here. You just hit the, the hot button for
Speaker 3 00:19:24 Us. Huge question. So speaking of food, rumor has it Yeah. And you know, we're all the way in Oregon. Rumors travel from hoa, uh, to here <laugh>. Uh, we had heard that you may not be serving the nutrient chili this year.
Speaker 10 00:19:39 You know,
Speaker 3 00:19:40 <laugh> don't do this to me.
Speaker 10 00:19:44 Unfortunately, we might not have the nutrient chili because it is so, it's, it's labor intensive to process nutrient to
Speaker 3 00:19:52 Be. How about, how about a special batch for, for the ends crew?
Speaker 10 00:19:57 We might, we we're, I'll see what I could do.
Speaker 4 00:20:01 I've seen YouTube videos where they crunch up metal in all kinds of things, and I'm just thinking there's an opportunity for some efficiency there. Maybe
Speaker 10 00:20:10 <laugh>. Right?
Speaker 4 00:20:10 If it's the processing time for Nutri.
Speaker 3 00:20:13 Cause because I tell you, I was really looking forward to that Nutri Chili.
Speaker 10 00:20:17 I was like, Yeah, we'll see what, like I said, we'll see, we'll see what we could
Speaker 3 00:20:20 Do.
Speaker 10 00:20:21 There's there an invasive species and so everybody's always looking to try to get rid of them.
Speaker 3 00:20:26 Well,
Speaker 4 00:20:26 What are they do with theming of Yeah,
Speaker 10 00:20:28 But look, speaking of Nutri, we do a nutrient pardoning at the Ruga Roof Fest. So this is our little
Speaker 4 00:20:35 Nutrient
Speaker 10 00:20:35 Named Nye. Yeah. And he gets a pardoned by, um, this year it should be our lieutenant governor, uh, Billy Nu Guesser. So he's gonna be coming down on the festival Nice to issue the official part. And so be's the only nutrient allowed to continue living in Louisiana because he just eats carrots and, and, and remain that,
Speaker 0 00:20:56 That's, is
Speaker 10 00:20:56 That the done two, the
Speaker 0 00:20:58 March? Is that the same one that you guys, uh, take out to see its shadow to make sure there's no tornados That's right. Or whatever. Hurricanes.
Speaker 4 00:21:06 So, so how did it go this year? Did you guys make it through the alphabet again?
Speaker 10 00:21:10 Look, he's been pretty good on the predictions. He predicted a pretty rough hurricane season when Idi it. Oh yeah. And destroyed most of the terrible in. And then, uh, this past year, he said, like, it, it's looking good. It shouldn't be too bad. Nice. And look, we've, we've pretty much gotten through this hurricane season unscathed,
Speaker 0 00:21:28 Don't it looks,
Speaker 10 00:21:30 Yeah, right. Exactly. But it looks like that's headed to, uh, to, um, Florida right now. So I think we're gonna be okay here in southern Louisiana.
Speaker 3 00:21:39 Nice. Nice. Nice. Uh, so if Bennet mis predicts things, is there a time when he's ever not pardoned and, you know, becomes part of the, uh, Nutri Chili and
Speaker 10 00:21:49 Then maybe you'll get to have
Speaker 4 00:21:50 That <laugh>, then you'll move further up the alphabet for your, uh, for your nutrient and you'll be at Chateau or something next, right. <laugh>. Right. There's an idea if if the the last one doesn't predict it right, then, you know, maybe there's a, he's chilly <laugh> consequences
Speaker 10 00:22:09 For, uh, not predicting. Correct. Right.
Speaker 4 00:22:11 Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:22:12 Well, Jonathan, we are very much looking forward to the Ruger Roof Fest this year and, and meeting with you. And, um, did we go over the dates? Um, yeah, so let, uh, let our listeners know when, I believe it's October 21st through the 23rd. But if they want to find out more about it, how do they find out more about it?
Speaker 10 00:22:30 Yeah, if you go to our website, so that's www.rugafest.org or you can check us out on Facebook. We have a lot of information, uh, there as well. But, uh, yeah, the website can give you a listing of all the things that we offer, um, and all the times in the schedule and everything like that. So we're excited to have you guys with us.
Speaker 3 00:22:51 Awesome. We're looking forward to it. Absolutely.
Speaker 10 00:22:54 Yeah. Thanks so much. Thank you. Thank you. Appreciate
Speaker 3 00:22:56 It. Thanks Jonathan. You
Speaker 10 00:22:57 Jonathan. Oh, good bye. Take care. Bye-Bye. Bye. All right. Who knows how long until the Bri Roof Fest starts?
Speaker 3 00:23:03 Uh, you're on their website, obviously 25
Speaker 0 00:23:05 Days, 23 hours, 27 minutes
Speaker 4 00:23:08 In seven 17 seconds.
Speaker 10 00:23:09 10 54 seconds. Oh,
Speaker 4 00:23:11 Sorry. I was close.
Speaker 10 00:23:12 Good job, Rob
Speaker 4 00:23:13 <laugh>. I rounded down Rob, headed on the head.
Speaker 3 00:23:15 Are are you gonna be there?
Speaker 10 00:23:17 I will be there.
Speaker 3 00:23:20 That's awesome. With
Speaker 0 00:23:21 Your rv, apparently.
Speaker 4 00:23:23 Yeah. You bring your rv. What do you think? Is base camp gonna make it down there?
Speaker 3 00:23:27 No, we're,
Speaker 0 00:23:28 No,
Speaker 4 00:23:29 We'd have to
Speaker 3 00:23:30 Start, we'd
Speaker 4 00:23:31 Have to leave today. Yeah.
Speaker 0 00:23:33 Actually that base cam's pretty dialed in with that. Uh, with governor removed, Governor removed,
Speaker 4 00:23:39 Road speed limiter. Did I get, I know
Speaker 0 00:23:42 It
Speaker 4 00:23:43 Limits
Speaker 3 00:23:43 Pretty slow.
Speaker 0 00:23:44 I gave, gave up trying to, I gave up trying to tell him what exactly it is. Yeah. The the RSL road speed limit. But, um, yeah. Hey, I'm looking forward to it though. This is cool. So
Speaker 4 00:23:55 Who's all going?
Speaker 0 00:23:56 Uh, so all of Tab Scott, myself. Nice. And, and the little ladies. Yeah. And then, uh, Lisa's a friend of ours. She's going Nice. And then apparently Jessie. Nice.
Speaker 3 00:24:08 Are you gonna be able to make it? Who
Speaker 4 00:24:10 Me? Yeah. Uh, no,
Speaker 3 00:24:12 If we shoot you the dates <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:24:14 I see the dates.
Speaker 0 00:24:15 <laugh>, there's, You have 25 days, 23 hours, 26 minutes and 35 seconds. Yeah. Every
Speaker 3 00:24:20 Place that we get is big enough. We're gonna be going to the man check Swamp. Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:24:24 Yeah. If it's not flooded
Speaker 3 00:24:26 Again downtown Julie Brown. Oh
Speaker 4 00:24:28 Yeah. That's M Swamp. That's where she's from, right?
Speaker 3 00:24:29 Yep, That's right. We're gonna be doing a variety of paranormal, mysterious, curious things while we're there in some spirits. We may come across some vampires at some bars that we go to and become accosted bars.
Speaker 0 00:24:42 We're gonna, Yeah, we're
Speaker 3 00:24:43 We're
Speaker 0 00:24:44 Gonna have lunch on the na Is
Speaker 3 00:24:47 That what that is? Naches.
Speaker 4 00:24:48 Naches. Are you gonna meet up with, uh, the, uh, vampire we interviewed, but
Speaker 0 00:24:53 I think we should, I think we should.
Speaker 4 00:24:54 You could do an interview with Vampire <laugh>. We already did. There.
Speaker 3 00:24:58 We already did that. Speaking of, uh, speaking of interviews with vampires chicken, um, why don't we go ahead and, uh, give Terry the witch a call so that we can get somewhat back on track with our the,
Speaker 0 00:25:11 The
Speaker 3 00:25:11 What? Our witch episode?
Speaker 0 00:25:13 Oh, I thought you
Speaker 4 00:25:14 Said some. Which episode is
Speaker 3 00:25:15 This? Uh, which is
Speaker 4 00:25:17 Whi Which one?
Speaker 0 00:25:18 Okay. I'm calling calling right now.
Speaker 11 00:25:24 Hello.
Speaker 3 00:25:25 Hi Terry, it's Scott. How are you?
Speaker 11 00:25:27 Oh, I'm doing good.
Speaker 3 00:25:28 Good, good. We have you on and, uh, in the studio we have Rob. Hello. We've got tab. Hello there Danny. Hello. Danny's little lady friend.
Speaker 4 00:25:39 Hello
Speaker 3 00:25:41 Mondo. Hello. And Jesse's joining us remotely from Texas
Speaker 11 00:25:46 <laugh>. Hello.
Speaker 3 00:25:48 So Terry, you are a witch, is that correct?
Speaker 11 00:25:51 Yes, that is
Speaker 3 00:25:52 Correct. And you were, you, you told me that it's an tic witch tic or eclectic? I don't remember. I think it was tic. Yeah. And what exactly does that mean?
Speaker 11 00:26:01 So, um, I don't prescribe to any specific dogma. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, I kind of take bits and pieces from everything and throw it all into one little pot and stir it
Speaker 3 00:26:14 Up. Nice. So can you explain to us about witch crafts and, and like when did you first start becoming involved and become a witch? And tell us a little bit about the, the history of witchcraft.
Speaker 11 00:26:26 So I've been practicing a little over 35 years. Um, yeah. <laugh>. Yeah. Uh, history of witchcraft dates back centuries, like Druidism, Egypt, Roman times. It's just been called different things until like the 18 hundreds when Catholic church deemed witchcraft evil and went on a crusade to kill everyone who's, who is practicing or who they thought was practicing. And then in recent times, it has become popular lot to do with the movies that are coming out, like craft
Speaker 0 00:27:08 And practical
Speaker 11 00:27:09 Magic
Speaker 0 00:27:10 And not being burned at the stake has probably made a little bit more popular too.
Speaker 11 00:27:14 Yeah. <laugh> being in America is definitely a positive for most witches because we are allowed to practice our religion without fear persecution.
Speaker 3 00:27:27 So is witchcraft actually a religion to some, I guess or different forms or, Um,
Speaker 11 00:27:31 So witchcraft, people who practice paganism Wicca, they can practice witchcraft, but not everyone who prescribes to those faith actually, um, are witches. Some of them are not. Some of 'em don't recognize themselves as witches. Um, and then you have your witches that don't subscribe to anything <laugh>. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, they're just witches. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So it just depends on the individual and what they believe and what they wanna follow.
Speaker 3 00:28:00 Sure. So you're considered an electric witch. How many different, I guess, types of witches are there?
Speaker 11 00:28:06 Um, you have your just plain witches. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> that don't follow any faith. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Then you have your cca who are witches that follow the CCA path, but not all wiccans or witches. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And then you have your pagans, that same thing. They can follow the witchcraft path or they can just be spiritual.
Speaker 3 00:28:31 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And so are there, is there such a thing as good witches and bad witches? Like in what they they use and what they use it for?
Speaker 11 00:28:39 Well, it's not really good or bad because witchcraft is, well, magic in general is a manipulation of energy to bring about a desired effect. So all energy is neutral. So if you practice the craft and turn that energy into a negative energy, then people would consider you bad or practicing black magic. If you take that neutral energy and you use it for positive things like healing, stuff like that, then they would consider you a good witch or practicing white magic. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And then you have your gray witches, which kind of teeter on both sides.
Speaker 3 00:29:25 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. It's interesting that you say that about the, um, that there's not really such a thing as good or bad, it's how it's used. And, uh, your description of that, because we had an interview with the, uh, hudu priest who described it almost in the exact same way. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> <laugh>. So that's, that's interesting, I guess. And you know, I mean, I guess there's, I'm sure there's huge differences, but between hudu and, and witchcraft, but it sounds relatively similar. I think maybe it's just geographic locations that make things a little bit, a little bit different. But, um, so what is, with being a witch, what is probably the most, uh, misleading thing about witches or witchcraft in popular cultural today?
Speaker 11 00:30:11 That we worship the devil <laugh>. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. That is not the case. Most of us don't even believe in the devil. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And obviously you can't worship something you don't believe in. So that's a very, that's what I get most of the time when people find out I'm a witch, is they say, Oh my God, you worship the devil then. And I'm like, No, <laugh>, the devil is not in the craft
Speaker 3 00:30:35 <laugh>. Right. That's, Yeah. Um, so can, this might sound like a silly question, but so can, which is actually cast spells, put spells on people.
Speaker 11 00:30:44 Um, it's not necessar, it's the manipulation of energy. So when you do that, you're basically manipulating the energy field of another individual. Most people who practice white witchcraft mm-hmm. <affirmative> believe that you do not affect another person's free will period. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Um, even if you do a healing spell, you have to ask permission or they have to come to you and say, Hey, can you help me heal? Da da da da. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> gray witches will mess with the healing without permission, but they believe that they're doing it for the betterment of that person, and it's a healing spell. So they really don't consider it bad. I, however, am a white witch, so I don't affect free will at all. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:31:36 <affirmative>, So there's, there's white, gray and black or dark. And then, so the, the white, Yeah. The white witches mostly concentrate on, on I guess good things or not messing with the craft, uh, for Ill gotten gains and gray witches, I'm assuming kind of tote that line a little bit. And then those involved, and then those involved in black magic are the ones that are just kind of on the other side.
Speaker 11 00:32:00 Yeah. They, um, feel that if most black witches, when they perform a spell, a lot of people think black witches are automatically like dark evil. They're manipulating people like puppetry, but that's
Speaker 3 00:32:15 With green faces.
Speaker 11 00:32:16 Makes them dark. Yeah. <laugh>, what makes them dark is that if they feel that, um, good of the populous outweighs the good of the individual, then they'll affect the individual's free will. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:32:29 <affirmative>. Interesting. So being an electric, which means essentially that you're kind of on your own, you, you do things.
Speaker 11 00:32:38 Yeah. I have soul. Yeah. I have often refer to myself as a cove of one. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:32:43 <affirmative>. So I guess, I guess that was my next question. So there's coves, which are like groups of, or like a, I don't know, for lack of a better term, like a, um, a meeting of the witches as a cove. They belong to a, like a club. I guess I don't, no better way to describe it, but, so you,
Speaker 11 00:32:59 It would be the same as going to church with your friends mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So a Kevin can be like the flock anywhere. The flock, Yeah. Yeah. It be anywhere between 13, uh, to 33 individuals, sometimes more and sometimes less. And they just believe basically the same thing. And they get together and they'll do a group spell or ritual. If you belong to a cove in, you can channel the energy through one individual, which will increase the potency of the spell. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. But there are individual witches that are pretty powerful and good at channeling, so they don't need a cove to do that. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:33:44 <affirmative>.
Speaker 4 00:33:44 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. I'm curious really quick, what is the significance of, if any, I'm assuming there is, but 13 and 33, why that range?
Speaker 11 00:33:54 There are master numbers.
Speaker 4 00:33:55 Ah, got it, got it. So it has to be 13 or more in 33 or less than,
Speaker 11 00:34:02 Um, it doesn't have to be that way. There are some who don't believe in that, but I personally think that a Kevin is strongest when they're in a master number.
Speaker 4 00:34:16 I see. I ask because in a lot of the topics that we've discussed, especially 13 seems to come up often, uh, in a, in a lot of things. And it just curious that it's, it's coming up again here for us and all the things that we've talked about.
Speaker 11 00:34:30 A lot of people view 13 as bad lack of course. Um, the history behind that is that on the 13th is when the Catholic church ordered the Templars filled. And so it's supposed to be a bad black number, which is of course, like, especially if you're a temp grain. Yeah. <laugh> <laugh>. And it's so true. Which is tend to like to go against the grain. So we automatically accepted that number as a lucky number and was like, Yeah, well you guys can believe it's bad luck, but it's good luck for us. So that's basically how it came about
Speaker 3 00:35:07 <laugh>. Right, right. Is there, is there anything similar when I talk about popular culture, I know that we, we talked to the, um, the Hudu priest about that and a lot of other guests for whatever their thing was, and it was affected by popular culture or the beliefs of people. So as far as like the witches are concerned, is there anything that is sort of true? Like crystal balls? Like is that actually a thing? Uh, taro cards and some of the other things that wars Yeah. People believe to be tied to witchcraft. Is there anything that we see in the movies that's actually, you know, relatively true or the oui board?
Speaker 11 00:35:46 Okay. So the Ouija board was the game created by Hasbro brothers. And it is not real, but there is it, we call a spirit board. The spirit board is real. It's usually made outta wood. And you, you can get into trouble if you don't know what you're doing. You can, or open a portal or thin the veil and you can invite things into this reality you don't want in this reality. So we tell people all the time, don't use spirit board, don't use the weed board mm-hmm. <affirmative>, unless you know what you're doing, unless you are a practiced individual and even some practiced individuals won't even mess with it. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>
Speaker 3 00:36:32 <affirmative>. Yeah. We don't mess with
Speaker 11 00:36:33 It. Um, I, yeah, Taro cards are real. Um, but what most people don't understand is per cards are a guidance tool. They tell you what your pos, what you're going through and what your possible future is based on your current decisions. So if you change something, then that changes your future. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So
Speaker 0 00:36:58 Makes sense.
Speaker 11 00:36:59 You can't, Yeah. So you, when you get a reading a TA rating, I like to tell my clients, this is a guidance tool. This is what will happen if you stay on your current path. If you deviate from that path, then you change the outcome because you have free will and you have the capability of changing your future depending on your decisions.
Speaker 3 00:37:21 Hmm. It's almost like back to the future rules. <laugh>.
Speaker 11 00:37:25 Yeah. Kinda <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:37:27 So do you, do you participate in any witchcraft rituals and what's, what are some of the most more unusual ones that you, you participate in?
Speaker 11 00:37:36 Um, I don't really participate in any rituals. I do mostly like a full moon ritual, which is charging water with full moon energy. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> for positive things. Like my daughters and I, um, the last full mu full moon, we did a ritual and we put positive affirmations on the water jugs, stuck them outside all night in the moonlight and then brought them in mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And then, um, when you put positive affirmations on water, it actually changes the chemistry of the water. There is a scientist in Japan that's proven this. Oh wow. And so when you drink it, you're actually putting that positive energy into your body and you're taking that in and it does actually make you feel better. Interesting. So that's like one of the rituals that I've
Speaker 0 00:38:27 Participated in. So it's kind of like the long, long lines of holy water in a, in a sense when a, a priest, a priest, praise over the water mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah. Hmm. Interesting.
Speaker 11 00:38:37 Yes. And most people don't realize that they perform magic spells every day. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, um, when you pray, it's the same as us praying to our gods. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, you're praying to your Christian God when you blow out a birthday candle and they say, make a wish. You're doing a spell, you're doing a candle spell. Interesting. You're literally making a wish and blowing out a candle <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:39:02 When, when we, when we drink our moon shine early in the morning, it's like the positive affirmation water in a
Speaker 0 00:39:08 <laugh>. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:39:10 So do any of, Exactly. I guess the big question I have is do any of the, um, witchcraft rituals involve a cauldron? Ooh.
Speaker 11 00:39:19 Um, there are some that do use a cauldron, but in most cases, cauldrons are used to make specific personal potions like healing potions and stuff like that. Um, one of the famous potions, I'm sure you've all heard, there's even songs written about it, is like,
Speaker 3 00:39:39 Love pot
Speaker 11 00:39:39 Number five nine <laugh>. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 0 00:39:42 Love
Speaker 11 00:39:42 Potion number nine. That can actually, for a practiced witch who's powerful, they can actually make a love potion. The problem is, is they're, they don't stay very long and they tend to backfire because when you mess with the person's free will, and you, let's say you, I make you fall in love with me. Okay. Eventually it's your con, your subconscious mind is gonna fight that and you're gonna start resenting me and you're gonna start hating me. Yeah. Eventually.
Speaker 0 00:40:14 Unless, unless
Speaker 11 00:40:15 Lastly backfires.
Speaker 0 00:40:17 Unless you guys end up really getting along anyway. Right.
Speaker 11 00:40:21 Well, it, it can, but it's very unlikely if you have to use a love potion on somebody, that's usually because that somebody's not interested in you and you can't catch them without the love potion.
Speaker 0 00:40:35 I kind of, I kind of look at it like this, like, if you're kind of attracted to someone and, and they're not totally, but they maybe kind of are that kind of, that'd be kind of like, uh, send 'em over the edge. Kind of hit 'em with a little splash of love pot. Yeah. Yeah. Kinda the
Speaker 3 00:40:50 Deal that made Rob sound really creepy. Seal
Speaker 0 00:40:53 The deal. No, I'm not talking like lace rag with four for
Speaker 3 00:40:57 Make you sound really creepy. That's how, So any, any idea, Terry maybe where we can, uh, get some of that stuff?
Speaker 0 00:41:05 <laugh>? No. That you're the one who sounds creepy. The last
Speaker 3 00:41:09 One didn't work. I need to, I need to sprinkle some on Jesse at the Rugo first
Speaker 0 00:41:13 All so I can, Scott's gonna have a, I have a feeling you won't need to
Speaker 3 00:41:17 Sprinkle it. You just go for
Speaker 0 00:41:18 It. Scott's gonna have a RA and say, uh, does this smell like chloroform <laugh>?
Speaker 3 00:41:24 So is it, it's, is it a lot more popular now? I mean, how many, how many witches do you feel are, are around the world? Is it a, is it a large group or small group? Or you'd rather not say or,
Speaker 11 00:41:35 Um, I'm willing to bet there's over a hundred thousand around the world. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, if not more. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 4 00:41:41 <affirmative>, it seems like a relatively low percentage of people though,
Speaker 11 00:41:45 Considering Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:41:46 In the world
Speaker 11 00:41:46 To the population. But there are, if you just do like, lump everybody together, even the ones that don't practice witchcraft but are pagan or Wiccan mm-hmm. <affirmative>, then you're talking like 500,000.
Speaker 3 00:41:59 Got it. So, so I'm not, I'm not gonna say where you're from, but we're from Oregon. Why does it seem like there's so many witches in Oregon or so many in the Northwest? Yeah. Like it seems proportionately larger in Oregon, um, than most cities and states that I've been to.
Speaker 11 00:42:17 Um, so I think from my perspective that we naturally like the woods and nature and all that kind of stuff. And so the specific northwest allows you to be nature with cheese and the forest and the mountains. I think most of it is honestly, we're democratic states and so we don't have to worry about the Bible belt. Right. And, and having in, there's no laws against witchcraft, but in the southern states you can have your children taken away from you for being a witch. Mm.
Speaker 3 00:42:55 Wow.
Speaker 11 00:42:56 Wow. So in the democratic states, they're more open and free mm-hmm. <affirmative> to the religious aspects. I think that's why
Speaker 0 00:43:05 Yeah. Things are definitely different in the south for
Speaker 3 00:43:08 Sure. So there's an area, there's an area in Oregon, I forget the name of the city, but it's called the Oregon Vortex. And there was a ghost adventure episode that they did on a, we're not going there, are we on a town? We're not. Yep. Ghost adventure. Well, whatever. Whatever. Anyway, so they were doing this investigation and it was, and it was in Oregon and they were near a forest that they claim was claim. All of these witches would come together and they tried to make it all, you know, kind of dark and evil. Are you familiar with any rituals or anything that happens in the forest near the Oregon vortex? Or is that just
Speaker 11 00:43:44 What hog not, Um, I am not familiar with that. It, however, we have baby witches that see stuff on tv, like the craft, practical magic Harry Potter. They're like, Oh cool, you know, let's do that. And so they end up going to those places cuz they think that's what you need to do. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:44:06 <affirmative>. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> is a baby witch. Is that like a beginner witch or a co player? Cosplay. Cosplay.
Speaker 11 00:44:12 Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:44:13 I've heard the
Speaker 11 00:44:14 Same, It's, it, um, it, it's a combination of, uh, witches, pretend witches and then wannabe witches and then actual young witches that are trying to learn the right way. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> and you kind of have to weed 'em out if you're teaching. So
Speaker 6 00:44:31 Do you recommend that to actually go to somebody or have a mentor to, to guide you through your witchcraft or, or the craft
Speaker 11 00:44:39 For everyone who wants to start out? Um, I recommend reading everything you can get your hands on, and then once you've, uh, read up on witchcraft and what it's about and all that, then try to seek out a practitioner. But the universe tends to bring people into your life that you need to meet. So when you're ready, a practitioner will probably end up showing up and be like, Oh, hey, I do that. You wanna learn some stuff. <laugh>, right?
Speaker 3 00:45:13 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Um, at this point I want to open it up to everybody in the group. There's, uh, six is hard math is is hard. He's trying to count. There's several of us here. Um, so if anybody has any questions, go ahead and jump in. Terry's more than willing to answer questions. Danny,
Speaker 4 00:45:30 I I do have a question. I have a couple of, a few of 'em actually. So, um, well, questions in a fun fact. Um, okay. I'm curious. Scott asked a question about the organ vortex. I'm wondering, I've heard the same thing about the energy in and around the, um, I think they call it the humongous fungus in the mahe forest. Oh yeah.
Speaker 6 00:45:50 Yeah. The largest mushroom in the world.
Speaker 4 00:45:52 Yeah, I've, I've heard that there's that similar energy I'm wondering and, and, and claims of witches in the woods and things like that. You know, I'm wondering if that, if you have any, uh, knowledge of any of those stories and or factor fiction kind of thing.
Speaker 11 00:46:05 So I don't know of any witchcraft that's taken place in those areas, but it would not surprise me cuz those areas are high energy portals. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> probably lay lines in that vicinity, which is causing the vortex to happen. So it wouldn't surprise me if some practitioners go there, even solo, just to tap into the energy field and, um, basically cleanse their energy. Right.
Speaker 4 00:46:36 Okay. Makes sense. And you, you used the term earlier, I'm curious to know what it means. Send the veil. I, I feel like I've heard it, but I don't know what that means.
Speaker 11 00:46:44 Okay. So, um, a lot of spiritualist pay ins believe that there is different dimensions. Quantum physics, for example, even some scientists. And basically during certain times, like midnight to one o'clock, the veil is the thin, which allows you to be able to see in the other dimensions. Halloween is a big one. On the 31st, the is thin, and then at, on the 31st at midnight, it's like almost non-existent mm-hmm. <affirmative>. But it allows, uh, beings to travel from different dimensions to this one and for us to actually be able to astro project easier into the other dimension. So.
Speaker 4 00:47:31 Nice. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I I thought I heard it somewhere before, but I wasn't quite sure. I just wanted to <laugh> make sure I understood it right. Um,
Speaker 11 00:47:39 Yeah, that's okay.
Speaker 6 00:47:40 Yeah. Well, that question made me think a concern. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, the hydro collider.
Speaker 4 00:47:45 Yeah.
Speaker 6 00:47:45 Yeah. You think there's anything to that as far as tapping into the, into the unknown?
Speaker 11 00:47:50 The Hydrogen Collider is causing, uh, time shifts, timeline shifts. Oh, wow. And the Mando effect is real.
Speaker 6 00:47:59 Oh, we had an episode on that. Yeah,
Speaker 4 00:48:01 We did that. Interesting. We'll have to dig into that a little bit more too. Yeah. I, I I have one more question and then we, two more questions and then one fun fact. Sorry, <laugh>. So, uh, Okay. Okay. In, in doing a little bit of research here, and I think it finally came clear to at least me in, in, in researching this topic, going into this ahead of time, I always assumed, assumed, and I've been corrected since that male witches were considered warlocks. Now I, I see, I think I see that that is definitely not the, that the, we're
Speaker 6 00:48:33 Getting the pronouns now,
Speaker 4 00:48:34 I think. Yeah. Pretty much. But I see that that's not a thing, but it almost seems like there's a little bit of a, a beef almost between, which is in Warlock if I'm, if the Internets are telling me the truth. But I just thought I'd ask, is that a thing or, Um, well,
Speaker 6 00:48:50 Well you, you saw it on the internet, so
Speaker 4 00:48:52 It must be true. Right?
Speaker 6 00:48:54 I saw, I saw it on the Google.
Speaker 11 00:48:55 Exactly. <laugh>. Well, we all know that Google's always right. Yeah.
Speaker 6 00:49:02 Um, it's the Google.
Speaker 11 00:49:04 Yes. Um, back about 10 years ago, um, male witches were referred to as wizards. Oh yes. And then recently the new trend has been males can be witches two mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. So they started referring to themselves as witches. Right. I still refer to males as wizards mm-hmm. <affirmative>. And it pisses off the younger ones, but I don't care. <laugh> and <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:49:34 Nice.
Speaker 11 00:49:35 As for warlocks, um, though, and it's not just warlocks, it's sorc, Sorc and warlocks tend to be what the mundane people call bad the bad witches. Okay.
Speaker 4 00:49:50 Got it.
Speaker 11 00:49:51 Okay. So someone who practices black magic mm-hmm. <affirmative> would be, would be considered a warlock. Got it. Or sous or a sorc.
Speaker 4 00:49:59 That makes
Speaker 6 00:50:00 Sense. So speaking of the dark side, is there ramifications, casting dark spells? I mean, on the individual that's casting it, is there, is it like, come back to you
Speaker 11 00:50:11 Or, Um, there's so many people with different beliefs. Um, a lot of witches believe that there are no repercussions. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, however I know better, karma's real. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> and karma will come bite you in the butt and typically if you, whatever you send out comes back to you like times three. And it's simple law of attraction. So if you're sending negative out there, it is gonna end up coming back to you because that's what you're sending out. And you tend, the universe tends to let you reap what you sell. Right. And that's for regular people too. That's not even witches. I mean, like a regular person who's a butthead all the time Yeah. Is eventually gonna get that turned back on him Right. By different people. So, um, and it works the same with spells, which is why I don't mess with anything that's considered gray or black. I strict, I stay strictly with white.
Speaker 6 00:51:15 So I mean, I kind of think of it like there's no such thing as free energy. It comes at a cost. Right.
Speaker 11 00:51:21 Yes. So Exactly. Okay,
Speaker 6 00:51:23 Thank you.
Speaker 4 00:51:24 I I I have one more question for me. I'm sorry. This is really interesting to me. <laugh>. So we, we had a little bit of a debate here with me and one of the guys here, I want to get your take on this, see if you can settle this for us. Okay. Mondo, um, I don't know how familiar you are with North Mythology, but I, I am not an expert for sure, but we're trying to settle a, a debate whether Fya was a, a witch or not. <laugh>, if you're familiar.
Speaker 11 00:51:53 He's
Speaker 4 00:51:54 No Fra Oh, sorry. Oh, sorry.
Speaker 11 00:51:57 Rea is goddess. See,
Speaker 4 00:51:59 I told you Mondo, he doesn't listen. I told him like three times and he was like, No, she's a witch. And I'm, I told
Speaker 6 00:52:08 Them, Mondo's gonna walk out
Speaker 4 00:52:09 <laugh>
Speaker 11 00:52:11 <laugh>,
Speaker 4 00:52:12 Thank you for settling that for us. Uh, one of us is gonna,
Speaker 11 00:52:15 Yeah. Most, most North Pagans only work with the gods and goddesses of that faith.
Speaker 4 00:52:23 Got it. Got it.
Speaker 11 00:52:24 So, and they don't consider themselves witches, they just consider themselves North pagans and they do their own thing.
Speaker 4 00:52:33 Nice. Ah, straight from the witches mouthy. There you go. I
Speaker 11 00:52:37 Told you
Speaker 4 00:52:38 <laugh>. Okay. One, one more fun fact, I wanna share, sorry. One fun fact, I just, I just searched the internets again. We were talking about order a little bit ago. Yeah. Do you know what number state Oregon became or what number Oregon is, falls in the union?
Speaker 11 00:52:54 Oh, geez. This is an open
Speaker 12 00:52:55 Question for,
Speaker 11 00:52:56 We've been Oregon all my life, so I should know this.
Speaker 4 00:52:58 Um, I just, I just checked the Googles, but it's interesting, Oregon is the 33rd state to become Oh wow. State in the, in the union here. So I know,
Speaker 6 00:53:07 I thought that was, I knew it was up there. Know, I knew it wasn't
Speaker 4 00:53:10 13, 18 59.
Speaker 11 00:53:12 That's pretty cool. Maybe Oregon's energy is attracting all the switches, right? Could
Speaker 12 00:53:17 Be. Yeah. Yeah. You mentioned that there's about a hundred thousand witches probably worldwide. Is there some, and you don't have to answer this, but is there, there some way, like if you're out in public, that there's some, some people, something that people wear that makes them identify as each other that oh, there's another,
Speaker 6 00:53:32 Or a handshake. A
Speaker 0 00:53:34 Handshake, right. <laugh>
Speaker 12 00:53:35 Or something that, Oh, there's, there's someone I could go speak to and, you know, be something like that where this could be comfortable to talk to
Speaker 11 00:53:42 Each other or,
Speaker 12 00:53:42 Um, to meet each other
Speaker 11 00:53:44 Typically. No, but with that being said, I can typically pick out a witch or a Pagan or Wiccan and a crowd. Oh wow. Depending on their tattoos and their energy field that they give off. Very cool. So I, and that's pretty much how all of us kind of detect each other and just by sensing their energy. And then like certain tattoos will stick out and you'll be like, Oh, that's a cool da da da da da. And they're like, Yeah. And then we just kind of look at each other and wait cuz we know what we're talking about. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:54:23 Hey guys, don't let our podcast interrupt your drinking.
Speaker 6 00:54:27 Oh, sorry about that.
Speaker 11 00:54:28 Jesus.
Speaker 0 00:54:29 Sorry. Sorry. It's
Speaker 11 00:54:31 One for me. It's not even new alcohol here
Speaker 6 00:54:33 So much. I've got some bigfoot moon shine
Speaker 0 00:54:35 Going on. It's my birthday. I'm drinking.
Speaker 3 00:54:38 Any, any,
Speaker 0 00:54:39 Any other birthday?
Speaker 3 00:54:40 Any other questions for Terry? Anybody? Mondo? Did we lose
Speaker 6 00:54:43 Jesse?
Speaker 3 00:54:44 No. Jesse's her to think. Jesse, I heard
Speaker 0 00:54:46 Him chuckle a little bit sooner. Yeah, I heard him. He just fell asleep or something. Do
Speaker 12 00:54:50 They have 5G in Texas?
Speaker 0 00:54:52 <laugh>,
Speaker 6 00:54:53 You gotta
Speaker 3 00:54:54 Not where he's at, You know, Terry, Thank you Terry, thank you very much for, uh, joining us on the podcast. We really, uh, really enjoyed the time that you spent with us. Um, be on a, a future episode. Maybe we'll do a Halloween episode or something. For sure. You're interested. Um,
Speaker 11 00:55:09 That would be awesome.
Speaker 3 00:55:11 But again, thank you very much for joining us. It was en enlightening For sure. We appreciate it. Oh, hey, one quick question. Um, Okay. We are probably about 15 minutes from ending it, uh, this episode. And we're gonna end it with a, uh, I don't want to sound, um, I don't know rude, but we're, we're gonna end it with a witch kle contest and each of us are gonna do our best witch cackle and we need a judge. And I'm thinking, okay, what better judge than a witch <laugh>. So would you be available for a call in about 10, 10 minutes or so to judge?
Speaker 11 00:55:49 Sure. I'm down.
Speaker 3 00:55:50 Awesome, awesome. Wow.
Speaker 6 00:55:52 This can be the Hollywood version, right? Yeah,
Speaker 0 00:55:54 I came. I me too.
Speaker 3 00:55:57 So we'll call you back in about 10 or 15 minutes. We really, really
Speaker 6 00:56:00 Appreciate that. Participate. Yeah. She can participate, show us.
Speaker 11 00:56:03 Sounds great.
Speaker 3 00:56:04 She's gotta show us how it's done. Yeah,
Speaker 6 00:56:06 It's an inspiration. So I work on your cackle,
Speaker 3 00:56:09 We'll call you back. Thank you very much.
Speaker 11 00:56:11 And you're
Speaker 3 00:56:12 Welcome. Byebye.
Speaker 11 00:56:13 Byebye.
Speaker 3 00:56:14 That was awesome. A witch that we had a prettying. Yeah, we had a vampire, a witch. So who do priest Now we need a wardrobe
Speaker 0 00:56:21 And hey, I just wanna say I got the moon shine fix
Speaker 4 00:56:26 <laugh>. Good job.
Speaker 0 00:56:27 I had to take the priority, I had to take the lid off with a pair of pliers, <laugh>, and then I replaced it with the old lid.
Speaker 3 00:56:34 <laugh>. There you go. Speaking of witches, Jesse, um, what did you think?
Speaker 0 00:56:37 Think that's b
Speaker 3 00:56:38 What did you think?
Speaker 8 00:56:40 I joined the witch Hunter
Speaker 4 00:56:42 Guild on a died
Speaker 3 00:56:43 Teo. Oh. Oh, let's not tell her that. Oh. Oh. So we have a witch hunter in the group. No, let's
Speaker 8 00:56:50 Not. I've been taking, I've been taking notes,
Speaker 3 00:56:52 So Oh, okay. <laugh>, you know, what, is that like a, is that like an online course to join that witch hunters guild? Is
Speaker 12 00:56:59 That Facebook or what? Facebook group?
Speaker 8 00:57:01 No.
Speaker 3 00:57:02 Yeah, I just pictured Jesse going, We represent the witch c guild. The witch chapter is killed the witch hundred Guild.
Speaker 4 00:57:11 No, anybody?
Speaker 3 00:57:12 Yeah, that's pretty close.
Speaker 4 00:57:14 It's interesting though. Speaking of, are we gonna get into our next topic,
Speaker 3 00:57:18 Uh,
Speaker 4 00:57:19 History of
Speaker 3 00:57:19 Which is, which is, Yeah. What do you, what do you got?
Speaker 4 00:57:21 So, so just, just, it's probably too far down the weeds, but, um, it was interesting that in just reading some of this stuff about the, talking about the actual witch hunters and, and, um, the, the tie in, and she mentioned this, the tie in for, what do you call it, The witch hunters and, and Catholicism and how that all came to be, uh, you know, that the, the, uh, what do I wanna say? The negative kind of energy related to, uh, which witches and things like that, you know, the tie in. I think we've seen that in a lot of the other things. Even the rug guru, like we talked about, uh, kind of making that a negative, um, thing, you know, somehow. So it's interesting to see that pattern again, um, Throughout history.
Speaker 3 00:58:02 Yes. There, there, there just seems to be a lot of correlations really between some of the guests that we've had, like, you know, the Hudu priest and Yeah. Yeah. Some of the others, they all have these really close tie-ins with each other in regards to certain rules within, you know, it's, it just seems like it's, I, I don't really see anything, and I'm probably gonna get in a lot of trouble for this, but I don't really see any difference between the hudu priests and witches. Right. Uh, with the exception of Yeah. Using nature. Yeah. With the exception of like geographic separations, like the Northwest is more trees and, you know, I mean, where Hudu originated from, which was, um, you know, a long, a long distance from here. So it's, it's, it's like all tied in. Tied in together.
Speaker 12 00:58:45 No, I'm surprised she didn't mention like the Salem witch trials and anything like from that time period. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:58:49 <affirmative>. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 12 00:58:50 <affirmative>. But I do have my, my eighth, the great grandfather. I mean, my, my ancestors came over on the Mayflower mm-hmm. <affirmative> and, um, Okay. My ancestors came over on the Mayflower and lived during the time of the Salem witch trials. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, my eighth Great grandfather was a, a carpenter. And he actually carried down after he made, actually made some of the coffins and he carried down, um, the coffins from the river by night, as well as assisted in bringing the bodies from the hill where they hung. Wow. So it's just, so I might be like an ancestor from some of the witches nice accused witches. But yeah. So my family populated that area during the 17th century. Yeah. So
Speaker 0 00:59:29 It's really, So have you ever been to Boston? Not
Speaker 12 00:59:32 Yet.
Speaker 0 00:59:33 Salems
Speaker 12 00:59:34 On my bucket list. It's awesome. For sure. I wanna, definitely wanna go to Plymouth Rock. Yeah, Yeah. In Salem for sure.
Speaker 4 00:59:38 I have an, I have an idea, conveniently, I'm gonna write a math problem right here and we're gonna see if you solve it, and then we'll know. Well what <laugh>, That was one of the tests that they did back in the day.
Speaker 3 00:59:49 So let me tell you real quickly about,
Speaker 0 00:59:51 So if you're poor at math, you'd burn at the stink
Speaker 4 00:59:53 If you're a woman. Wow. I didn't know. Make the rules. That's great.
Speaker 3 00:59:59 So, so that's
Speaker 4 01:00:01 How it was
Speaker 3 01:00:01 Back in then. You said you wanted to see Plymouth Rock. I was there and saw Plymouth Rock, and it was the biggest disappointing let down ever.
Speaker 4 01:00:10 So just like a pebble?
Speaker 3 01:00:11 No, it, it is. That's what I hear. It is. And you go to this parking lot that's not even really, it doesn't really say Plymouth Rock this way. So you gotta know where to go. And it's like this little wooden fence and there's an arrow pointing down that says Plymouth Rock <laugh>. It's so disappointing.
Speaker 0 01:00:26 I didn't go there. I just, I didn't go there.
Speaker 4 01:00:29 Is it all covered in like spray paint and how big is it? Bag
Speaker 3 01:00:32 And what it's, you know, about the size of the board. Oh wow. Maybe no way. A little bit bigger. Yeah.
Speaker 4 01:00:36 So how did they land on it then?
Speaker 3 01:00:38 I don't know. I mean, maybe it wore down over time. I don't know. <laugh>, but it wasn't, it wasn't literally much. It's much big. Instead
Speaker 4 01:00:44 Of Plymouth Rock, it's gonna turn into the pet rock.
Speaker 0 01:00:46 Yeah. Anyway, there is a lot of history there. And then you go to like cemeteries and stuff and it says, came over on the Mayflower. Right. You know, on the, the gravestone and just super, super.
Speaker 3 01:00:57 I'm surprised you didn't go to Plymouth Rock when you were there, cuz it was only a short, I think it was within walking distance of that great oyster place that we went to. Oh yeah. It was like right there. Yeah. Yeah. Not too
Speaker 0 01:01:06 Far from there. The original Oyster House or whatever. Did you guys go there anyway? Yeah, it was, yeah.
Speaker 3 01:01:11 All right, moving on. You guys ready to,
Speaker 4 01:01:13 Did we talk more about the history? Oh, is that it? Go ahead. Well, what do you guys got? Oh, <laugh>. Okay. All right. Now we gonna talk about the Salem witch trials anymore.
Speaker 3 01:01:26 I I do have, um, coincidentally I was, uh, at the supermarket. Yeah. I
Speaker 4 01:01:32 Oh, wow. Came
Speaker 3 01:01:33 Across the history channel that came out with the magazine. Oh,
Speaker 0 01:01:36 Witches
Speaker 3 01:01:36 About witches. I was like, Wow. That's really, that's really something interesting. Wow. But the most interesting thing in this, uh, big, long, uh, magazine with really cool pictures, and it only take me a second to read it, but it's, uh, the history of witches in their broomsticks. Yeah. And this is very bizarre. I heard this. It was bullshit. Not what, not what I thought it was. Yeah. At all. Okay.
Speaker 4 01:01:57 It's not So this,
Speaker 3 01:01:58 This is from the, uh, history channel Witches of past and present magazine that you can get on any, uh, shelf in your neighborhood market, uh, witchcraft, lore, broomsticks, the word which commonly brings to mind the image of a person wearing a pointy hat and Cape perched on a broomstick as they fly across a full moon as early as the 11th century, which had been thought to have the ability to fly. However, the broomsticks appears later, along with two other elements of witchcraft, potions and female sexuality, so-called witches, made potions from a variety of plants, some of which had hallucinogenic properties. These connotations could be absorbed through the glands in between their legs. Witches were believed to smear this concoction on wooden staffs. What the witches would then mount the staffs and the hallucinogenic compounds would bring on erratic behavior.
Speaker 4 01:02:52 Oh my, oh my.
Speaker 3 01:02:55 Although this might seem far fetched. It is based on the evidence presented at the trial of an accused, which Alice Kai teller in Ireland in the 13 hundreds, according to investigators in rifling through the closet of the lady they found. So
Speaker 4 01:03:08 It wasn't a peeping
Speaker 3 01:03:09 Tom, No <laugh>. They found a pipe of ointment where she greased a staff upon which she amed and galloped through thick and thin in the 15th century theologian, Jordon de reported
Speaker 4 01:03:24 Jordan, Bless you,
Speaker 3 01:03:25 Reported that witches confessed that on certain days or nights they anoint a staff and ride on it to the appointed place or anoint
Speaker 4 01:03:34 Under the arms.
Speaker 3 01:03:36 So it turns out to not what I thought it
Speaker 4 01:03:38 Was. That's my joke. Oh, sorry.
Speaker 3 01:03:40 Sorry. It's not what I thought
Speaker 0 01:03:41 It was. <laugh>, the tool of the lesser
Speaker 4 01:03:44 Sex. I mean the, the broom is ridden if you, you know, <laugh>, if it's we're being technical
Speaker 0 01:03:50 <laugh>. We, we read that, we read that out of a book from way back when it referred to a broom as the tool of the lesser sex <laugh>.
Speaker 3 01:03:58 Yeah. It was a horse training manual from like the 18 hundreds. And it, it was crazy. I referred to it the broom as the tool of the weaker sex.
Speaker 4 01:04:06 Now there was another reference.
Speaker 0 01:04:07 Ah, yeah, I know.
Speaker 4 01:04:08 Crazy. A, a broom. Right? There was the reference to the broom with the, what was it? Rug guru. Wait, what, what
Speaker 3 01:04:14 Doesn't, Yeah, the counting the straws on the
Speaker 0 01:04:16 Yeah, yeah. To try to confuse it.
Speaker 4 01:04:18 Interesting. There's probably something there then. Yeah. So, uh oh,
Speaker 3 01:04:21 Go ahead. Mondo
Speaker 0 01:04:23 <laugh>. Did you wake him up over there? I did, yes.
Speaker 4 01:04:28 You
Speaker 9 01:04:28 Rang
Speaker 3 01:04:29 <laugh>. What do you got? Witches.
Speaker 4 01:04:31 They're
Speaker 3 01:04:32 Cool.
Speaker 9 01:04:33 They're
Speaker 0 01:04:34 Witches aren't strong
Speaker 4 01:04:35 Pool, strong talk.
Speaker 9 01:04:36 They're, they're around.
Speaker 4 01:04:37 Yeah. Yeah. Good
Speaker 3 01:04:38 Talk.
Speaker 9 01:04:39 Now, um, there're, there're there's a lot of history in witchcraft and stuff, and like she was, she was mentioning about like Norse paganism and stuff like that, which I myself am Norse pagan, so it kind of coincides. But she's absolutely correct that with Norse pagans, we do our own thing that people would perceive as magic, but it's similar, not really the same. Um,
Speaker 4 01:05:03 I would you not know Fya was a witch then?
Speaker 9 01:05:05 She was
Speaker 4 01:05:07 <laugh>.
Speaker 9 01:05:07 We're gonna,
Speaker 3 01:05:08 We're I think this is, this is a source of disco, disco contention. This is
Speaker 0 01:05:13 Ongoing.
Speaker 3 01:05:13 Yeah. And, and remember Danny, that you're back is to him. That's
Speaker 0 01:05:18 Exactly,
Speaker 3 01:05:18 And you're, you're both about the same size. So that would be, that would be a brutal, brutal match to watch. Yeah.
Speaker 9 01:05:25 The the thing that I noticed though is that, you know, early, early in life, I dabbled in witchcraft and all that stuff, and I, I always make the, I always make Christians really, really mad when they try to, you know, put my beliefs down. And I always tell 'em that the greatest magician that ever lived was who they believe in Jesus Christ himself. Yeah. Superstar. I mean, think about it. You, he prayed to a higher being and he, you know, made the impossible happen. It's so, but
Speaker 3 01:05:58 Spoiler alert, Jesus wins <laugh>,
Speaker 9 01:06:01 You always wins. Um, but yeah, I mean, there are a lot of similarities between different, uh, you know, different things like, you know, the Hudu and the voodoo and witchcraft and all that. It's, it's very spiritual, more so than religious. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 01:06:18 <affirmative>.
Speaker 9 01:06:19 Um, it's, it's definitely a thing.
Speaker 3 01:06:22 Okay. You guys ready to, ready to move on? Moving
Speaker 0 01:06:25 On.
Speaker 9 01:06:26 Moving out, moving on. New
Speaker 3 01:06:32 Northwest Curiosity Society brings you fact or crap factor. Crap. Rob, what do you got for us?
Speaker 0 01:06:44 Okay,
Speaker 3 01:06:45 So I think it's crap. You guys can't crap. Crap. Okay, moving on. You guys ready? Move on fact.
Speaker 0 01:06:52 Okay. In Portland, Maine, a bargain hunter who went to an estate sale in Maine to find a KitchenAid mixer, let's say he went to find a kitchen mixer. Anyway, he ended up finding, finding an extremely old artifact treasure. Instead of the kitchen appliance, Will Sii stumbled upon a framed document hanging on the wall. It had elaborate script in Latin, along with some musical notes. Uh, he, he looked at it and he thought, maybe this is really old. So
Speaker 3 01:07:26 Sounds like the Goonies.
Speaker 0 01:07:27 And, and it was a bargain at $75 for him, Academics confirm that the parchment was from Indeed. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> extremely old. So they, after all that, they, they reviewed it and they said the document could be worth as much as $10 million and more. Basically they said it's, uh, priceless at this.
Speaker 3 01:07:52 Do we gotta know what the document is? It's the Necro Macon
Speaker 0 01:07:56 <laugh>. No. Um, so, well, I would say it's in everybody
Speaker 3 01:08:01 Get off the
Speaker 0 01:08:02 Google. It's, it's in religious nature. And after he saw Sadi contacted a former college professor who was familiar with it, and he reached out to another academic and they researched the document and they all confirm its authenticity.
Speaker 3 01:08:21 I say, uh,
Speaker 6 01:08:22 True. I wanna know what the document is though.
Speaker 0 01:08:25 It's a religious,
Speaker 6 01:08:26 There, there's no term. There's no,
Speaker 0 01:08:28 They they're saying it could be from the Bible. I would say that.
Speaker 6 01:08:31 Okay. So a book of the Bible, like
Speaker 0 01:08:34 A, a passage from, Yeah.
Speaker 4 01:08:36 Oh, okay. Considering the topic, I'm wondering if it's the, to say it right. Maus, Malif Faca. Bless you. Negative maus. Malif. Faca
Speaker 0 01:08:46 Negative. This, we're playing, we're playing gay. We're playing Factor crap. Not so
Speaker 6 01:08:50 This was in Portland, Maine. I
Speaker 4 01:08:52 Have to get some questions to figure out if it's
Speaker 0 01:08:54 Okay. Go ahead, Danny.
Speaker 4 01:08:55 Is it true, Rob, or is it fat?
Speaker 6 01:08:57 No,
Speaker 0 01:08:57 No. I know I we're going around. Yeah,
Speaker 4 01:08:59 But I'm reading, I'm
Speaker 3 01:09:00 Reading your Bible. I say, I say it's
Speaker 6 01:09:01 True. I I want to know how, how old is the document?
Speaker 0 01:09:04 Uh, it didn't give an exact.
Speaker 3 01:09:06 It's pretty brick and old
Speaker 0 01:09:08 From the Bible.
Speaker 6 01:09:08 Okay. But I mean, it's an original.
Speaker 4 01:09:11 That New King James
Speaker 6 01:09:13 Original or copy, they're
Speaker 0 01:09:14 Saying original
Speaker 4 01:09:16 <laugh>.
Speaker 6 01:09:17 I say bogus crap.
Speaker 12 01:09:21 Uh,
Speaker 6 01:09:23 Did
Speaker 3 01:09:23 You see Fact
Speaker 6 01:09:24 Or crap? He's on the Google.
Speaker 3 01:09:25 I know. We can't tell. He's the biggest, he's the biggest cheater of them all.
Speaker 4 01:09:29 Cheater cheaty.
Speaker 3 01:09:30 That's fact with an F and not crap with a C. Right?
Speaker 4 01:09:33 I'm gonna go fact.
Speaker 0 01:09:34 Okay. It's
Speaker 12 01:09:36 Fact with a Scott,
Speaker 4 01:09:37 It's fact that it was a thing and all those things were true.
Speaker 3 01:09:40 Mondo, crap,
Speaker 4 01:09:41 Crap. All those things that you said, they said, Okay. Whether or not the document's real or not.
Speaker 3 01:09:47 Eh, what is it, Robin?
Speaker 0 01:09:48 It is a figment of my imagination. Taken from another story. Yeah.
Speaker 4 01:09:55 This
Speaker 0 01:09:55 Crap, this story, this, the part of the story is true about a guy who went to go find him. What's
Speaker 3 01:10:00 The so is it fact or crap? Ronald
Speaker 0 01:10:02 It's crap. You fuck,
Speaker 3 01:10:03 He's Whoa,
Speaker 6 01:10:05 Whoa. The language.
Speaker 3 01:10:06 Let's watch the language.
Speaker 6 01:10:07 Well, I mean, there was no rule to this segment. I mean, I had
Speaker 0 01:10:11 Just
Speaker 6 01:10:12 Make it up. Yeah,
Speaker 4 01:10:12 But it can't be both.
Speaker 0 01:10:13 No, it's, it's not both. It it, I tried to get a Maine
Speaker 6 01:10:17 A true story, Rob, and then all work Put your twist on it to make it crap. He's
Speaker 3 01:10:21 A little spicy. Look at Rob getting all worked up.
Speaker 6 01:10:23 His problem was you went too far back. You went biblical. I know. And Portland, Maine. I just, I
Speaker 0 01:10:29 It is from Portland, Maine.
Speaker 6 01:10:30 I know, but you went biblical
Speaker 0 01:10:31 And he did try to find a kitchen mixing
Speaker 4 01:10:33 Biblical
Speaker 0 01:10:34 KitchenAid. So it
Speaker 6 01:10:35 Was partially true. Which,
Speaker 0 01:10:36 Which, Oh, we're calling the witch witch, which makes
Speaker 6 01:10:38 It all.
Speaker 3 01:10:39 All right. So, uh, we are gonna be bringing this to an end gentleman and little lady. Uh, with our Kle contest, the, uh, episode. Each one of us is gonna have to cackle like a witch, and we're gonna get the real witch on the line. Who is gonna judge? Witch?
